Privacy
This notice explains what this site holds about you, why, for how long, who else sees it and what
you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Michael Andersen, [email protected]. Write to that address about anything in this notice.
What is held about you
- Your sign-in profile: name, username and email address, copied from the sign-in service
each time you use the site, and the groups that decide which parts you can use. - What you add: bookmarks, collections, projects, vehicles, estimations, feedback and anything
you upload, including pictures and documents. - Settings: language, date format, notification choices, and your profile picture if you set one.
- Technical details: when you last signed in; if you turn on push notifications, the address
your browser gave for delivering them; and, with a feedback report, details about the page and
browser you sent it from. - Other people: anything you type about someone else — who borrowed an item, who bought it, who
serviced a car, a name in a note. Please add only what you need.
Your IP address is not stored with your account. It appears in server logs, which are kept for a
limited time (below).
Why
To provide the service you signed up for. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling or analytics,
and nothing is sold.
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare carries all traffic to the site, and so sees your IP address and requests.
- Fastmail delivers the emails you choose to receive.
- Your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla or Apple) delivers push
notifications, if you turn them on. Their contents are encrypted. - Film, music and game databases (TMDB, MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, and IGDB, which
Twitch runs) receive search terms from this site's server, never from your browser. - Websites you bookmark are visited by this site's server to fetch their title and icon and to
check that the link still works. - An AI assistant you connect (for example Claude) receives what you ask it to read, and only
if you connect it yourself. - People you share a bookmark folder with, and the owner of a folder shared with you, see your
username. The owner's download of their data lists who their folders are shared with. - Finding you by username. Someone who shares a bookmark folder can invite you by typing your
exact username. GolfGTD only says whether that name can be invited. It never lists accounts, and
it gives the same answer for a name that doesn't exist, an account that has turned finding off,
and one without bookmarks. You can turn this off under Profile → Sharing. People you already
share a folder with still see your username as a suggestion, and invite links still work. A
pending invite shows your username to the folder's owner until you accept or decline it.
The sign-in service, databases, file storage and error reports all run on the operator's own
servers.
How long
- Deleted items stay in the recycle bin for 30 days, then are removed for good.
- A deleted account is removed for good after 30 days, with everything in it. Feedback you sent
stays, without your name, and so does what you added to a folder someone else shared with you:
that was always theirs. - Notifications are removed 30 days after you read them, or after 90 days unread.
- Server logs are kept for 30 days, and error reports for 90 days.
- Backups are kept for about six months. Something deleted is gone from the site at once and
from backups when they expire.
Your rights
- See and take your data: download everything from your profile.
- Correct it: change your name and email with the sign-in service; everything else can be
edited where it is. - Delete it: delete your account from your profile. Your sign-in account is separate; delete it
there too. - Object or complain: write to the contact above, or to the data protection authority
(Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).
Your browser
The site sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics. It keeps your sign-in session and your
settings (theme, language, list preferences) in your browser's storage, because the site does not
work without them.
